The Temple of Mirth was an attraction at Olentangy Park that opened in 1906. It burned down in July 1911[1]. It was said to combine the elements of the Katzenjammer Castle and the House that Jack Built and a number of other novelties in one large building. Sometime after 1911, the Joy Mill replaced the Temple of Mirth.[2]
Fires
In July 1911, a fire that began in the Old Mill ride spread to other attractions, destroying a total of five buildings[1]. Manager J.W. Dusenbury said the buildings were uninsured.
Notes
